As a practitioner in the field of Periodontics and Implantology, I am dedicated to providing the highest level of service. My aim is to serve in the preservation and restoration of the form and function of dentition through providing accessible state of the art periodontal therapy. I am committed to providing patients with a professional, warm and caring environment in which to receive treatement and to serving as a reliable, valuable and trusted resource to dental professional in the Bay area.
Dr. Nelson-Chrystal earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. She then continued her education at the University of Marylandís Medical School, earning her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). She completed her 6-year Oral and Maxillofacial Residency at the University of Maryland.
Some of Dr. Nelson-Chrystalís professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Tri-Beta Honor Society, Christian Medical Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
She is also an active member of several community service outreach programs as well as volunteer oral surgeon for Smiles For Kids. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Dr. Herbranson graduated with a DDS degree from Loma Linda University in 1970 and a MS in Endodontics from Loma Linda University in 1973. He has practiced endodontics in the East Bay since that time.
He has been actively involved in education for years having given many lectures locally and nationally on endodontics as well as presentation skills and microscope photography. He is on the faculty of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and lectures at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He is an Opinion Leader for a major endodontic supply company and helped develop their corporate education protocols.
He is nationally recognized in the endodontic field and his interest in photography has resulted in the creation of a small company that builds camera mounts for surgical operating microscopes. Another of his interest is the development of a computerized atlas of the anatomy of human teeth. It has been recognized as a significant tool in learning the complex microanatomy of teeth and is currently being adapted by many dental schools in the United States.
